A 2019 Toyota Sienna AWD with a 3.5 V6 and an 8-speed automatic. It’s our answer to having two adventure vehicles in one family. We wanted the comfort and space of our old Opel Vivaro campervan and the simple, honest toughness of our Suzuki Grand Vitara , and the lifted Toyotas climbing gravel roads in Georgia showed us where to look. No turbo, no DPF, no AdBlue, just an engine made for real roads.

The build goes step by step: a full service, underbody protection, LPG, a 3.5″ lift with bigger all-terrain tires, an aluminium sleeping platform with drawers, and a roof-top tent. The goal is a car that crosses countries in comfort and then turns onto a gravel pass without hesitation.
