We set off without any rush, letting the road decide the rhythm. The route carried us through half of Europe — Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary and Italy — until the landscape finally shifted into the deep greens and sharp peaks of Slovenia. It’s a small country, but it feels like someone folded the Alps, rivers, and forests into a compact. beautiful postcard.
