Troms

Troms was supposed to be just a stopover between Nordkapp and Lofoten, but it turned out to be a full-fledged chapter of our journey. A place where nature speaks softly but leaves a lasting echo.

The winding road led us through snow-covered mountains, along deep fjords, and into valleys where time seemed to slow down. The views were so spectacular it was hard to keep driving without stopping every few kilometers.

We spent the night at a remote campsite off the main road, visited almost exclusively by Norwegians. It was quiet, peaceful, and felt truly far from civilization. We had the chance to talk with the owner, who shared stories about his work, the fishing industry, and life in this rugged but beautiful region.

He even treated us to a taste of freshly caught wild salmon. It was the most delicious fish I’ve ever eaten! Maybe it was the stunning view from the frying pan, maybe the crystal-clear water and wild nature surrounding us. Either way, it was unforgettable.

Troms wasn’t just a waypoint. It was a moment of pause, reflection, and awe. And just like Nordkapp—we didn’t see everything, and that’s the best part. It’s our reason to go back.
