Ålesund, a city spread across islands on Norway’s rugged west coast, welcomed us with its breathtaking scenery and unique architecture. The town’s distinctive art nouveau style, shaped by its reconstruction after the great fire of 1904, made every street feel like a walk through history.

We explored the charming Brosundet canal, where boats gently rocked against colorful waterfront buildings.
