Bergen

Bergen, Norway’s gateway to the fjords, welcomed us with its stunning coastal scenery and rich history. The city’s colorful wooden houses, nestled between towering mountains and the sea, created a postcard-perfect view.

We explored the famous Bryggen Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where centuries-old buildings told the story of Bergen’s Hanseatic past. Wandering through its narrow alleyways felt like stepping back in time.

Our plan to take in the breathtaking views from Mount Fløyen was completely disrupted by thick fog, leaving the landscape hidden behind a dense mist. Instead of panoramic vistas, we found ourselves surrounded by an eerie, dreamlike atmosphere.

Camping near the city allowed us to experience Bergen’s vibrant atmosphere while staying close to nature. The mix of urban charm and wild landscapes made this part of the journey truly unforgettable.
