Kielce. A Frugal Journey
A short weekend getaway to Kielce with one rule: spend as little as we possibly can. Here is where we saved:
- A kind lady at a petrol station gave us a fuel discount voucher, just like that, without us even asking.
- We used a gift card for free entry to the Tropical Pools (Baseny Tropikalne), where we soaked all Saturday long.
- Our accommodation was paid for with Revolut RevPoints.
- Dinner at a Chinese restaurant ended up cheaper because they mixed up the dishes. It is a miracle we managed to order anything at all, as nobody there spoke Polish or English.
- We all got reduced-price tickets to the Energetyczne Centrum Nauki (the science centre). Probably because the boys are now too old for it, but after a few years we wanted to visit it again.
- Entry to Kadzielnia is free. The zip line is closed because the season is over, so we were not tempted.
- A delicious birthday lunch at Wasabi Sushi was also paid for with a gift card that would have expired soon anyway.
- We all got reduced-price tickets to Park Legend as well.
- I bought a coffee at McDonald’s in a promotion for 5 PLN.
- Paid parking in Kielce does not apply on weekends.
And now you know what we did on this short trip 🙂
