Bieszczady
Another return to the heart of Bieszczady, where every visit feels like a homecoming into the wild embrace of unspoiled nature.
This time, we finally boarded the Bieszczady Forest Railway, drawn by a steam locomotive that puffed and roared through lush mountain valleys—an unforgettable journey into living history.
Our wanderings brought us to a forest animal park, where we hand-fed curious deer and fluffy goats, adding lighthearted moments to an already soulful trip.
The highlight: a six-hour hiking loop spanning the peaks of Smerek, Osadzki Wierch, and Połonina Wetlińska. Panoramas unfolded with every step—rolling ridges, whispering meadows, and winds that seemed to carry stories of old trails and quiet solitude.
Evenings were bathed in magic as we gathered beneath wooden beams at Zagroda Chryszczata, listening to atmospheric concerts by Paweł Lewandowski and Knedlove. The music echoed the rhythm of the mountains—slow, powerful, and deeply moving.
