Norway Trip 2024
What a journey! Over 4700 km, across 25 days, through some of the most breathtaking landscapes Scandinavia has to offer.
From the medieval walls of Malbork and the vibrant streets of Gdańsk, we set off on an adventure that would take us through historic cities, legendary fjords, and adrenaline-pumping mountain roads.
We wandered through the charming streets of Copenhagen, embraced childhood nostalgia at Legoland Billund, and stood in awe at the towering cliffs of Lysefjorden. The maritime heritage of Stavanger and the icy beauty of Buarbreen Glacier reminded us of Norway’s wild and untamed spirit.
Then came the fjords—Bergen, Sognefjorden, and the dramatic mountain pass of Gaularfjellet Utsikten. Every turn revealed a new masterpiece of nature, each more stunning than the last. The coastal charm of Ålesund and the engineering marvel of Atlanterhavsveien marked the northernmost point of our journey before we began our return.
But the true test of adventure came at Geiranger and the Skywalk. The climb was intense, the descent thrilling—balancing the engine’s heat and the brakes’ endurance. And at the summit? A well-earned cinnamon bun, enjoyed with a view that stretched beyond imagination.
We met wildlife at Glittersjå Fjellgård, relaxed in the pools of Djupadalsbadet, and stepped into the world of childhood stories at Astrid Lindgrens Värld. The eerie halls of Kalmar Castle sent chills down our spines, while the peaceful shores of Skönstavik Camping gave us a moment to reflect on the journey.
And then, the final stretch—the road back home. As we packed up, watching the last Scandinavian sunset, we knew this trip had been something truly special. A journey of discovery, adventure, and unforgettable moments.
We made it. And it was worth every kilometer.
